거대한 파도 위에서 서퍼를 조종하세요.

Surf World Series is a surfing game where the player can take control of a surfer on some enormous waves. This sports game features some very impressive visuals and realistic-looking ocean and wave simulations. It provides a quite convincing surfing experience, though it's not a true surfing simulator.

Many players have mistaken this game for a simulation, but it is more of a casual experience that focuses on fun over realism. In that respect, it could be compared to games like Riders Republic or Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.

Take on legendary waves

Surf World Series puts the player in the thick of the action, competing in a global surfing competition that makes use of some of the most well-known surfing locations in the world, including spots in Hawaii, Australia, and more. It incorporates night surfing and different weather conditions to add variety to the experience.

A variety of game modes

The main offering when it comes to game modes in Surf World Series is the single-player experience, which packs 44 different challenges to complete. However, there is also a multiplayer mode with 3 different types of games to compete in against up to 15 other players. These modes include Big Heat Battle, Championship, and Survival.

Great looks but not the easiest to play

While the game mechanics themselves sacrifice realism for fun, the controls are not the easiest to master. Additionally, players looking for an authentic surfing simulation will be disappointed by this game’s lack of realism. Still, for players just looking to enjoy some visually impressive surfing, Surf World Series can meet those needs well.

PROS

  • Impressive visuals make it easy to capture breathtaking screenshots
  • Very convincing sea/wave simulation
  • Forgiving controls and surf mechanics make the game suitable for casual players
  • 44 single-player challenges to complete as well as online play

CONS

  • Not a surfing "simulator," despite giving the impression that it is
  • Controls take some to get used to
